Kuala Lumpur Day 2

(I shall experiment with inserting photos along the way)

So there we were in the Capital of the federation of Malaysia. Had a good sleep on the sofa, and woke up to find the first light streaming in through the windows. I got my first view (of this trip) of Malaysia in daylight.

Went down to the Gobo Chit Chat (yes that's the name) cafe for breakfast. Quite a good spread of many types of cuisine. Like Jap, Malsyaian, Western etc. Next, we proceeded to the Hotel's skybar to grab a few photos of the petronas twin towers in daylight.

The petronas twin towers, tallest buildings in the world Malaysia

After some time at the skybar, we decided to visit the KL tower for some more panoramic views of the city. Observation towers are great for landscape photography, and I love the height and the great views from the top. Then we pay RM38 (S$15) to ascend the tower. And then use binocolars to look at buildings and streets at the bottom.

The KL Tower

Above all

Like an extra value meal, the Tower was the main course. There were also some side dishes such as riding a horse ride, racing in an F1 simulator, and visiting an exotic mini zoo with frogs inside, among other animals. After that, we took a cab to the National Planeterium. Now if there's on e thing I hate about Malaysian cabs, its not because they dont have a meter, but they don't use it. Drivers would try their level best to settle on a suitable price overcharge you.

Reached there and took a look at Malaysia Disneyland, before proceeding back to KLCC and shopped around Kino for a few books and scores. As usual, we bought a whole lot of nothing, before retreating back into the hotel room, where we relaxed a played a few rounds of Seelers of Catan.

We had dinner at KFC. There was no Bishan Gay there, so we got a table and ordered a whole lot of food. Following that, it was time for the concert! Made our way to Dewan Filharmonik Petronas, the Esplanade of Malaysia. Quite a nice place in Malaysia.

At the foyer

The concert was nothing short of spectular! Hmm its hard to decide which one was my favourite, I think I enjoyed the credit card piano and the mozart pieces. =D Go see their videos on Youtube(r) !

It was autograph time after the concert! And we didn't just get an autograph, we got a personal video interview with them! See it in the videos section.

The day was drawing to an end, so it was backk to Trader's hotel for us. We went back to the skybar first though, for some very impressive views of the city and KLCC. ok it's midnight. I shall continue what we did later in the next post! (doesn't this imply that we didn't sleep? =p )

Night shots of petronas towers

(And I think this post has too many petronas twin towers. But hey it's nice right? =p )
